Garage Street market among other areas.

The garbage is mainly plastic wastes, polythene bags and banana peelings.
According to the residents, the garbage has been pilling since thebegin of this year. Caroline Ninsiima, who operate a restaurant in Kabale Central Market says that, accuses the municipality leadership for failing to collect the garbage in the municipality especially in the market despite several complaints.

Ninsiima says that the garbage has started chasing her customers due to poor sanitation. Andrew Niwamanya, a shoe dealer in Garage Street market says that the municipality leadership is not bothered about the rotting garbage in their areas.

Niwamanya says that the municipal council authorities only are only tough when they are collecting tax dues, but they do not address their problems. Robert Byansi, a trader dealing in dry produce in Omukikoregi says that the garbage in the area portrays a wrong image to their clients.

According to Byansi, the uncollected garbage could trigger the outbreak of disease.

The Kabale Municipality town clerk Deo Ndimo says that the garbage truck had a mechanical problem and they are doing the needful to fix the problem.

Ndimo calls for patience among the residents and the business community saying that the problem will be addressed soon.
