The preparation of the 45th Tarehe Sita Anniversary celebrations are underway in Kabale, with events taking place at Brainstorm High School, headed by the UPDF and RDC Kabale Retired Major Godfrey Katamba.
The celebrations are being held under the theme “Defending the Gains of the Revolution and Honouring the Sacrifices of the Freedom Fighters: A Call for National Unity, Peace, and Socioeconomic Transformation”
The Kigezi sub-region was chosen to host the celebrations due to its significant role in Uganda’s liberation struggle and the event includes various activities, such as community projects, medical outreaches, and ideological training sessions for veterans, religious leaders and youth leaders.
The UPDF 2nd Division Infantry Major Kiconco Tabaro was today addressing thousands of youths from different institutions at Kabale Brainstorm High School in Kabale District.
The discussion which was also graced by Maj Gen Henry Matsiko focused on the roles of patriotism and media in promoting peaceful elections.
