NEWS- The Police in Kanungu District have instituted investigation into the mysterious death of 22 year old woman identified as Tukamushaba Evalyne who was a Bar attendant at Lagos Bar and Lodges and a esident of Kashonjwa Village, Rushoroza Parish, Kihihi Sub-county.
Kigezi Region Police Spokesman Elly Maate confirmed the incident and said that it is alleged that on the night of 24th March, 2025, the deceased asked her sister one Akampurira Patience a key room to rest and when Akampurira also retired to sleep, she found the deceased sleeping facing downwards, uncovered and in her full clothing.
Maate explained that when Akampurira attempted to turn her up, foam was coming from her mouth and blood from her nose and she immediately called the manager Niwamanya Amos who got a boda boda and rushed her to Kihihi Health Centre but she passed on as they were waiting for the Doctor.
The incident was reported to Kihiihi Police Station by Niwamanya and a team of detectives and Scene of Crime Officer visited the scene and was documented and a postmortem examination was conducted and the body was handed to relatives for burial, however, some internal organs and contents samples were preserved for further investigations.
