NEWS- The RDC Ntungamo MUCUNGUZI Geoffrey has implored the general public to support government aided schools since the government has done its part.

Cadre MUCUNGUZI noted that it’s their role to give lunch and scholastic materials to their children as the government is paying teachers and putting up infrastructure development.

He said that embracing quality education is committed whether the parent is rich or poor.

Cadre MUCUNGUZI made remarks on Wednesday November 29th 2023 as a chief guest during the PTA annual general meeting of Kyamate Integrated Model Primary School held in Kyamate CDC Hall Ntungamo Municipality.

The South Ankole Diocesan secretary Rev Canon Arthur Twinamatsiko urged parents to nurture well behaved children and always pray for them not to be taken by World treasurers.

Rev can Twinamatsiko hailed the head teacher Kyamate Integrated Model Primary School Ninsiima Naome, staff, committees and parents for the team work that has enabled the school to out compete government aided schools in Ntungamo Municipality.

The Municipal inspector of schools Turigye Gladys Kiiza thanked parents for investing in education and turning up in big numbers to make decisions for their school.

The facilitator Rev Benson Nahoora the head teacher Kamahuri Model Primary School called upon all parents to invest heavily in the education of their children because they are gifts and their heirs for the future.

He noted education is the best passport for the future because it pays a lump sum of returns in their golden ages.

Rev Nahoora who is also the Chairman Model primary Schools in South Ankole Diocese said that education is the only thing that no one can grab from one who attains it.

He reminded parents and guardians that it is their sole responsibility to care and educate their children for a better tomorrow.

The head teacher of Kyamate Integrated Model Primary School Ninsiima Naome commended the parents and guardians for choosing Kyamate Integrated Model Primary School for their children’s education.

Ninsiima promised to provide quality education to the learner’s as a school mission of performing well year after year.

She highlighted the increasing trend of academic excellence of primary seven in last year’s Municipal, Diocesan, district and National examinations.

Namanya Joshua Kansiime chairman SMC and Katamirwa Alex chairman PTA hailed the administration of the school and unity among all stakeholders.

In a related development, Ugandans have been compelled to be vigilant about their life and security in the upcoming Christmas season when criminality escalates.

The warning was sounded by the Resident District commissioner for Ntungamo district Cadre Geoffrey Mucunguzi while speaking to Christians at Rweibaare Church of Uganda in Rweibaare Archdeaconry, West Ankole Diocese.

According to cadre Mucunguzi, criminals tend to exploit every given opportunity to commit crimes during this season when people are busy.

The RDC added that it is every Ugandans’ responsibility to ensure that security prevails as stated in the Country’s constitution saying that this can only be achieved through cooperation. He said that the Ntungamo district security team has already started sensitizing the public about safety measures for their life and property.

The RDC also expressed a concern about the increasing cases of domestic violence not only in Ntungamo but around the country which he attributed to laziness and poverty. He charged parents to teach their children different tasks during the long third term holiday that can help them in future away from Education.
