Man burnt to ashes as fire guts pork-joint

KAMPALA- Three children have lost life in a devastating fire in Kitaka Zone, Busega, Rubaga Division, Kampala District.

The heartbreaking inferno ravaged the home of Arnest Mugerwa this morning, leaving an unbearable scar.

The blaze was reported to Police by a neighbor identified as Moreen Nakimera.

Racing against time, Police from Nateete Division, led by ASP Kalyango, swiftly responded. Despite their urgency, the flames had already been contained by brave community members.

However, the fire’s deadly grip had taken hold. Owoyesigyire said the three children—Nalukwago Danila (11), Lukwago Darius (6), and Muwanguzi Diego (3)—succumbed to the carbon monoxide.

Police says that the response from neighbors, managed to rescue Mugerwa and his son, Mugerwa Marvin with injuries and they were rushed Mulago where they are fighting for their lives. Police says investigators are probing the fire’s cause.
