NEWS– Three Senior six students of the Kabale based Kigezi High school have been remanded to Ndorwa Government prison.
The three were on Wednesday ,11th June 2024 remanded to the above mentioned Government prison following their charge before the Kabale Grade 1 magistrate.
They were remanded to Ndorwa Government Prison for allegedly beating and injuring their fellow students at school.
The remanded have been identified as Jophas Owoyesiga, Hosea Kwetegyeka and Lucky Ainebyoona.
It is alleged that the above and others still at large on 23th November, 2023 caused body grievous harm on Anslem Akampurira also a student of Kigezi High School.
They are slated to reappear in the same court today (Thursday June 13th 2024) for bail hearing.
Kigezi High School, located at Rugarama Hill in Kabale municipality in Kabale district was founded by the Church Missionary society in 1922 that makes it one of the oldest Schools in Kigezi sub region and is affiliated with Kabale diocese of the Church of Uganda.
It is well known for its high profiled old students who include former Uganda Premiers Hon. Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda and Rt. Hon. John Patrick Amaama Mbabazi not forgetting the late former governor of Bank of Uganda Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebiire.
