NEWS- The Police in Kagadi district are actively investigating circumstances under which a five year old girl was slaughtered in Nyabutanzi Sub-County.
The deceased was identified as Margret Tusingwiire a top class pupil, daughter to Emmanuel Byamukama and Maghret Ayebale residents of Kamurandu village in Nyabutanzi Sub-County Kagadi district.
Ayebale narrated that the brutal murder happened at around 7:00pm on Tuesday evening.
She confided to our reporter that on the fateful evening, she went to buy tomatoes from the neighborhood and left the daughter seated in the sitting room.
On her return, Ayabare continued preparing supper little did she know that her daughter Tusigwiire had been killed.
Ayebere added that after a period of time without tracing the whereabouts of her daughter, she mounted a search with residents that led to the recovery of her body, slaughtered and lying lifeless on the parents’ bed.

Emmanuel Byamukama, the father of the deceased, asked police to hunt down and arrest the suspects to ensure justice is served.

By press time, a postmortem examination had been done and body handed over to the relatives to proceed with the burial arrangements.
Meanwhile police have on Wednesday morning used a sniffer dog and arrested the two step brothers of the deceased child to help in investigations. Both suspects are underage.
The Kagadi Central Police Station Officer-in-charge SP Pellan Busingye confirmed the arrest of the two minors, asserting that they will be taken to remand homes for custody.
She condemned the act and said investigations to ascertain the cause of the murder have begun.
SP Busingye however cautioned residents on proper parenting to raise up good disciplined children.
