Celebrations at Amus College

BUKEDEA- The Headteacher of Amus College School in Bukedea district, Richard Olupot, has expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for the school’s outstanding performance in the 2024 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) exams.

He attributed the success to the unwavering support from parents, the dedication of teachers and the commitment of students.

“I am very delighted with these results. This success is a result of teamwork between the administration, management, teachers, students, and parents,” Olupot said.

He noted that, the school registered 199 students and recorded impressive scores, with: 3 students scoring 20 points each, 32 students scoring 19 points, 23 students scoring 18 points, 28 students scoring 17 points, 32 students scoring 16 points, 25 students scoring 15 points, 19 students scoring 14 points, 13 students scoring 13 points, 6 students scoring 12 points etc.

While announcing the results, Olupot urged students to embrace hard work, time management, and goal setting.

“It’s all about commitment and determination. With God, we believe that every year we will continue achieving great results. Our challenge is to ensure that we help you reach your full potential,” he said.

Olupot reassured parents that AMUS College is committed to academic excellence. “Parents will never regret bringing their children here. To those still deciding where to go, AMUS College is open, and we will do whatever it takes to nurture you and build your future careers.”

Malinga Naume, the former Head Girl of AMUS College, who scored 18 points in MEG-ICT, expressed her joy over the excellent performance.

“I am so delighted and overjoyed! Thank you for your prayers, my teachers, the school administration, my parents, and everyone who supported me. Students, if we could do it, you can too!” she said.

Namugambe Teresa, who scored 19 points in PEM-ICT, also expressed her gratitude. The daughter of Munialo Paul, former Headteacher of Mbale Progressive School, thanked God, her teachers, and especially her father for his sacrifices and support in her academic journey.
