NEWS- The Uganda Police Force has announced it will recruit 2,500 Probation Police Constable (PPC) to boost the forces operations.
According to a notice issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Uganda Police Force invited applications from suitably qualified Ugandan Citizens to apply for the available vacancies.
According to the statement signed by Jesse Kamunanwire on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, the applicants must be between 18 and 23 years and must have a valid National Identity Card and must possess a Uganda Certificate of Education or its equivalent with at least 4 credits including English and at least a pass in Mathematics.
Kamunanwire also indicated that the applicants must have no criminal record and should be ready to undertake a requisite 12 months Basic Police Training which requires physical fitness and should be ready to work for long hours under difficult conditions once they qualify and be ready to work in all parts of the county.
The applicants must possess good communication skills and must not be former or serving officers in any of the Ugandan Forces.
Kamunanwire warned anyone who will present forged documents that such an act will lead to arrest and prosecution in courts of law for impersonation and applicants who conceal or provide false information shall be disqualified.
Their appointment in the Uganda Police Force shall be after completion of the 12 months Police Basic Training and female candidates are encouraged to apply and take this opportunity.
Kamunanwire asked the applicants to make hand written applications addressed to the Inspector General of Police accompanied by certified copies of academic documents, photocopy of the National Identity Card, 3 recent passport size photographs, Identity Card or Introductory Letter from the previous school and recommendation letters from LC 1, LC III and Resident District Commissioner from their respective districts of origin and deliver them to the District Police Headquarters not later than 18th February 2024.
