MITOOMA– The Police in Mitooma district have launched a hunt for a man around 20 years who allegedly defiled a 4 year old juvenile.
The suspect is Tukwataniise Victor who is being hunted for aggravated defilement of a juvenile together with whom are all residents of Ngomba 2 village, Kirembe parish, Katenga Sub – county in Mitooma district.
The incident which happened on 5th December 2023 at around 7pm was reported to Mitooma police on Thursday 7th December 2023 at 3:52pm by Kyarisima Rose, the mother to the victim.
Its alleged that the victim was picked from home by his biological father Tusingwire Frank and took her to his grannd father’s home which is just at the neighbourhood.
Later on, the victim came crying and reported to her mother that she had been defiled by Tukwstaniise Victor a partenal uncle from a coffee plantation. Upon the mother checking her daughter’s private parts, she realized that the victim was seriously bleeding and she took her to Mitooma HC IV where she was admitted and then later reported the matter to Police.
Police instituted inquiries vide CRB 816/2023 of Mitooma Police station, recorded statements of relevant witnesses. Police also issued PF3A forms, victim already examined and the report has been retrieved.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Martial Tumusiime confirmed the incident and said that Police have already launched the hunt for the suspect who is on the run as inquiries into the matter continue.
