KAMPALA- The Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) has cautioned Heads of UCE Centres to be vigilant against fraudsters extorting money from them claiming to be members of UNEB Security Committee.
This comes as UNEB awaits to confirm the release date for the 2024 UCE Examination results.
Speaking, the UNEB principal public relation officer, Jenifer Kalule Musamba said that it has come to their attention that there some masqueraders calling Heads of centres and School directors claiming that the results of their candidates are to be cancelled due to suspected involvement in examination malpractice.
She said that such masquaraders extort money from the unsuspecting School Heads, in the disguise of helping them to ensure that their results are not withheld.
However, she added that the security team has been informed and the perpetrators are being tracked.
Regarding the release date, Kalule says the 2024 UCE results shall not be released today Friday February 7th as has been alleged on some platforms.
