NEWS- The Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) has announced that they will release the results of the 2023 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) Examinations this week on Thursday, February, 15th 2024.
According to insider source at the Uganda National Examinations Board who talked on condition of anonymity as they’re not authorised to speak on behalf of the board, 2023 UCE results will be released on Thursday at 11 am at the State House Nakasero by the Minister of Education and Sports Mrs Janet Kataha Museveni.
This source intimated to our Reporter that the UNEB officials will on Wednesday this week, UNEB brief the Minister of Education who is also First Lady Hon Janet Kataha Museveni to discuss the performance of the students as is the custom before the results are released.
When contacted the UNEB Senior Public Relations Officer Ms Jennifer Kalule could not confirm or deny this development and promised to get back later but by the time this story was published, she had not replied to numerous calls.
The 2023 UCE Results will be the second batch of the national examinations to be released by UNEB after the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) Results which were released late last month.
During the UCE Results release, it is expected that the UNEB Executive Director, Dan Odongo will tell the country the number of the candidates who sat for the examination compared to those who registered for the same, as well as the general comparative performance, and performance by gender.
At the time the results are released, parents, candidates, and other interested parties will be able to check how their pupils/children performed by using their phones through SMS through the UNEB Portal which most people prefer as it is cheap and instant, go to the Message menu on the Phone, type UCE, leave space, type full index Number, and then send to 6600. The message costs just 500 per candidate check.
