The Police in Rubanda District are currently hunting for suspects who hacked to death a 16 year old pupil of Rugarama Mixed Primary School in Kabale Town .
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Nelson Tumushime confirmed the incident and identified the deceased as Kyomuhendo Pamela, a resident of Kitungu Cell in Nyamiyaga Ward, Bubaare Town Council in Rubanda District.

Tumushime said that the tragic incident happened when the deceased left her home to buy household items at nearby shops and it is alleged that the assailants trailed her for about 500 meters from the shops and cut her with sharp objects several times inflicting many injuries in her body.
It is reported that the good samaritans rushed and transported her to Kabale Regional Referal Hospital for medical attention, but unfortunately due to heavy injuries she sustained she was later pronounced dead shortly after the admission.
Tumushime has now called upon anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects to furnish it with the nearby Police Station to help in investigations.
In the same development, the Police in Bwera are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a 55 year old man identified as Masereka Pauline who was the chairman of Bwinamiro cell in Nyakeya Ward in Kyarumba Sub-county in Kasese district.
Rwenzori East Regional Police Spokesperson Elly Maate confirmed the incident saying that that it took place on 22nd July /07/2026 in the same village.
It’s alleged that on the 21st July, the deceased, being the chairman Bwimaniro cell and incumbent candidate of the same post left home and went for door to door campaign and he did not go back home early since he drinks alcohol and goes anytime.
It is ereported that at around midnight, he was picked by some people and taken to his home while in critical condition and handed over to the relatives and they went away.
However, the following morning, the situation worsened and he was taken to Kyarumba Valley Health Clinic, but he died moments later and the body was taken to his home for burial.
Family members, however, reported the matter to the Police that they suspected he could have been killed and the body was picked and conveyed to Bwera Hospital Mortuary pending postmortem examination as investigations to establish the likely cause of his death continue.
