GULU- The speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among has asked the residents of Gulu not to allow those politicians who have boycotted the Northern Uganda Parliamentary sittings to ask them for votes in the coming election.
In her remarks while opening today’s parliamentary session, the speaker noted that Gulu is part of Uganda and no one can stop parliament from holding sittings in this region yet they have been holding similar sittings at Kololo Ceremonial grounds.
Speaker Among tasked the people of Gulu to be kin on those boycotting the Northern Uganda sitting so that they pay them in the same currency during the forthcoming campaign season.

In the same sitting, the speaker noted that in the second quarter of the fourth year of the 11th Parliament, they will hold another regional sitting and they will soon decide on which region to hold the next regional sitting from.
The speaker also noted that during the entire regional sittings, Parliament will be debating the issues pertaining those regions.

Members in attendance included members of the opposition from all opposition parties including Veronica Nanyondo Woman MP Bukomansimbi district from National Unity Platform, Jimmy Lwanga of Njeru Municipality from NUP, Twaha Kagabo of Bukoto south, Kazibwe Bashir Mbazira of Kawempe south and Abedi Bwanika of Kimanya Kabonera all from NUP.
Other opposition MPs in attendance included Lulume Bayiga of Buikwe south, Richard Lumu of Mityana South all from the Democartic Party DP as well as their party whip and members from other opposition political parties.
