CHINA- The Vice President Major Jessica Alupo Epel on Tuesday afternoon held a meeting with the President of the Exim-Import Bank of China Ren Shengjun at their headquarters in Beijing in China.
Vice President Alupo who is in China to attend 9th Forum on China – Africa Cooperation underscored the need for balanced financing terms and thanked the Bank for the continuous support towards priority infrastructural projects of the Government of Uganda.
Export-Import Bank of China is a state-funded and state-owned policy bank with the status of an independent legal entity and is directly under the leadership of the State Council and dedicated to supporting China’s foreign trade, investment and international economic cooperation.
Its reported that with the Chinese government’s credit support, the Bank plays a crucial role in promoting steady economic growth and structural adjustment, supporting foreign trade, and implementing the going global strategy.
