KITAGWENDA- Shock engulfed residents of Kanyara-Nyaruhanda, Kikondo ward in Kabujogyera Town Council Kitagwenda district following allegations that Levi Amarakutunga also known as DJ Levi Nyamagoya sacrificed his brother’s four-year-old daughter, Trinnah Aineomugisha.

The incident has sent ripples of fear and outrage through the area where the alleged crime took place especially by the area councilor and gospel music artiste.

According to Mr. Patrick Rutehanda, the chairman of Kanyara-Nyaruhanda cell, this is not the first time concerns have been raised about DJ Levi’s alleged involvement in sacrificial rituals for financial gain. Rutehanda emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating,

“This has raised alarm bells in our community, and we cannot let such actions go unchecked.”

Witnesses claim that the police dog used in the investigation tracked the suspect’s sent directly to his residence leading law enforcement to reportedly surround the house for further questioning.

Daniel Muhumuza, a resident expressed his deep sorrow over the tragic event highlighting the profound impact it has had on the community. “We are all devastated by what has happened; this is unthinkable,” he said.

The father of the victim, Baker Vincent recounted his last moments with Aineomugisha before the tragedy struck, noting that he saw her around 4:00 PM the previous day. “I can’t believe my daughter is gone; we need justice for her,” he told reporters.

DJ Levi has been taken into custody at the Kitagwenda Central Police Station, while investigations are ongoing. The body of the young girl was transported to Kitagwenda Health Center IV for a postmortem examination.
