MBARARA– Sports enthusiasts and soccer fans in South Western Uganda and the country as a whole were on Thursday evening treated to heartbreaking news of the senior sports pundit Myke Ddungu quitting Western Uganda’s Biggest radio station 91.2 Crooze FM.
Known by his current brand “Yiyo Ejja”, Ddungu Myke had worked as a sports presenter and commentator at the Mbarara City based radio station.
Without disclosing his next destination, Myke who was appreciative to the Crooze FM management, staff and the fans pointed out that whoever wants him will now find him at his Mbarara City based DM collections, a boutique dealing in wears at GBK Plaza room K09.
On his social handles, Ddungu posted that “Dear Croozers, After 6yrs years of working with Crooze FM, My journey with Crooze has come to an end today but what a journey it has been! Ne Award ze Ggwanga Nazibaletedde“.
He added that “Thank you for always Listening in. I don’t take your endless Love, energy and support for granted because without you, there is no Show. I am grateful to you, my dedicated listeners, because it has been the most incredible period of my life. Thank you for being a part of it and making it an award winning source of Sports. Kati buli Anonya ansange ku DM Collections GBK Plaza Room 𝐾09”.
By the time he left Crooze FM, Ddungu Mike was fully recognized as the HI SCHOOL AWARD winner as the BEST SOCCER COMMENTATOR in Uganda for the year 2023.
It should be remembered that the sports pundit joined Crooze FM from the Rukungiri based 91.8 Boona Fm. Earlier, he worked with another Mbarara City based station 89.1 Vision radio owned by tycoon Fred Kaffoko, who also had gotten him from Hon Nulu Byamukama’s 88.3 Endigyito FM.
Shortly after revealing the news of his resignation, a number of fans, friends and sports lovers rushed to question his next destination as others wished him well in his next destination. We shall keep you posted with any development about his next station.
