NEWS- The Police in Mitooma district are holding two people suspected to have been involved in the brutal murder of a 7 year old boy and his mother.
The incident happened on Tuesday night at the residence of the victims in Mayanga D village, Mayanga Sub County in Mitooma district.
It is alleged that on November 20, 2024, Kuribuba Brian, Tashobya Ben and another one only identified as Milton strangled Kiconco Susan and her son Ahereza Blaise who at the time of the incident were sleeping in their house.
According to SSP Marcial Tumusiime the Greater Bushenyi Regional Police spokesman, the suspects fled but were traced by police after introducing canine at the scene of crime.
The third suspect Milton is on the run according to Tumusiime, but efforts are on to have him arrested to face the law.
