The Deputy National Treasurer of the National Resistance Movement Hon Jacqueline Kyatuheire, has assured party supporters and the general public that the ruling party is fully prepared for the January 15th 2026 general elections.
As the Head of the NRM mobilization team for Kigezi Sub Region, Hon Kyatuheire told journalists during a Press Conference held at Cephas Inn in Kabale Municipality January 11th that her team has been in the region, where they got a feedback that the National Resistance Movement and President Museveni will. win massively.
Hon Kyatuheire recently told the voters in Kihihi Town Council that Kanungu is eyeing 100% win for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
While addressing the journalists on the alleged internal party disagreements, especially in the Kigezi region, Hon Kyatuheire called for unity and reconciliation among NRM members, noting that in some areas committees are clashing with party flag bearers.
She requested NRM members to forgive one another and build the party and said that supporting independents after losing in party primaries is not good and she cautioned that their issues will be reviewed after the elections.
She cited examples of constituencies where NRM candidates are unopposed, including Isingiro North’s Bright Rwamirama, and noted that in Rwampara, the NRM candidate is also unopposed following the exit of a rival candidate. She warned voters against supporting candidates who lost in the party primaries and later contested as independents.
Hon Kyatuheire was in company of all Kigezi Sub-region NRM Mobilization Team that has covered the 6 districts of Kigezi that include Kisoro, Rubanda, Kabale, Rukiga, Rukungiri and Kanungu.

Meanwhile the National Resistance Movement Party Deputy Treasurer, Hon Jacqueline Kyatuheire has cautioned the voters in Kisoro District against electing Non Party flag bearers an act that will place manifesto implementation in jeopardy.
Hon Kyatuheire who led the Kigezi Sub-region NRM election mobilization team to Kisoro District made the remarks January 11th while conducting election sensitisation sessions in Nyanamo and Rubuguri Town Councils in Bukimbiri Constituency where the appealed to the voters to vote for NRM Flag bearers starting with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
She urged the voters to vote Asigario Turyagyenda who is the Bukimbiri Constituency NRM flagbearer and Hon Grace Akifeza who is the Kisoro District NRM flag bearer and all other NRM flag bearers in the Lower Local Government Councils.
While speaking at the same event, the Deputy NRM Head for mobilisation for Kigezi Sub-region Lt Col (Rtd) Edward Natukunda urged the voters in Kisoro District and Bukimbiri Constituency in particular to turn up in large numbers early enough and exercise their civic right to elect their leaders which is done once in 5 years and vote for NRM flagbearers.
Lt Col Natukunda assured the voters that all they need is the verification of their fingure thumb as it appears in the Voter Biometric Machine and once it’s approved the person becomes an eligible voter.
He also asked the electorate not to be intimidated by any one because there is enough security to mitigate any kind of such occur ancestors and urged anyone facing difficulties in accessing the polling station.
A member of the mobilisation team Hon Silver Bahane who hails from Bukimbiri Constituency said that the voters have an opportunity to vote for the NRM flagbearer who will ensure continuity of the development in the area.
The voters both in Nyanamo and Rubuguri Town Councils reminded the team to forward their desire to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to have their own District curved out of Kisoro to ensure equitable development in the area and bring services closer to them.
