Kanungu Deputy Resident District Commissioner Gad Ahimbisibwe Rugaju and CAO Awuye Abdallah

Kanungu District Chief Adminstrative Officer Awuye Abdallah has appreciated the service that North Kigezi – Kinkizi Diocese WASTSAN that has helped the people of Kanungu through collaborating with the District as a development partner to provide quality water and sanitation services.

CAO Awuye made the remarks today as Kanungu District comemorated the World Water Day which was held in Kayonza Sub-county in Kanungu District.

During the colorful event, Bwasha Gravity Water Flow System in Kanoni Parish in Kayonza Sub-county was commissioned and officially handed over to the residents for use.

Kanungu District Administration appreciated North Kigezi – Kinkizi Diocese WASTSAN with a certificate of appreciation and the water is expected to benefit over 100 households. 

The Bishop of the Diocese of Kinkizi was represented by the Diocesan Estates Manager Paul Niwagaba and the Archdeacon of Kayonza Archdeaconry Ven Canon Gad Ngyemura and the event was attended by Kanungu District National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) Manager Kagina Willy among many other guest.

While speaking at the same event, Kanungu Deputy Resident District Commissioner Gad Ahimbisibwe Rugaju hailed the North Kigezi-Diocese of Kinkizi WASTSAN ( Water and Sanitation) for providing clean drinking water to the people of Kanungu which supplement the government initiatives.
