Traffic Police in Rubanda District have registered a serious road traffic crash which occured last evening at Nyamasisi Junction along Kabale – Kisoro Road in Rubanda District.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Nelson Tumushime has confirmed the accident that nvolved motorvehicle registration number UA 099DX, Howo Sino Truck and Motorvehicle registration number UBA 630X Toyota Corolla.

Tumushime said that the traffic Police in Rubanda and Emergency Responders swiftly responded to the scene and two yet to be identified male victim were transported to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital for medical care.
Pleriminary Investigations indicate that the crash was as a result of over speeding by he driver of motorvehicle registration number UBA 630X who left his lane collided with an oncoming traffic from Kisoro direction thereby causing the traffic crash.
The Police have since urged all motorists to obey Traffic rules, avoid over speeding especially during peak hours and drivers are reminded to ensure that their motor vehicles are roadworthy and to always rest when feeling fatigued.
