Kaziimba Mugalu sign a condolence book at Karuzika Palace

The Archbishop of Church of Uganda, The Most Rev Dr Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, has today afternoon arrived in Fortportal where he will president over the Funeral Service for the late King of Tooro Oyo  Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV. 

The Archbishop together with Bishop of Ruwenzori Diocese Rt Rev Reuben Kisembo and Bishop of Ankole Diocese Rt Rev Sheldon Mwesigwa visited Karuzika Palace, where they prayed with the Queen Mother, Best Kemigisa, and other members of the Royal Family where they prayed with mourners.

Earlier, Archbishop Kaziimba met Talia Birungi Kandole Akiiki, a young climate activist who is partnering with Church of Uganda under its 15 Million Trees Campaign to honour the legacy of the late King Oyo and his commitment to environmental conservation.

As part of this initiative, more than 20,000 fruit and indigenous tree seedlings will be distributed to mourners attending the funeral service at St John’s Cathedral, Kabarole tomorrow. 

Archbishop Kaziimba will be the Main Celebrant for tomorrows funeral service of King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru at St John’s Cathedral Kabarole.
