The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda The Most Rev Dr Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu yesterday concluded his farewell visit to Madi West Nile Diocese with prayer visits to retired Bishop Joel and Maama Rev Canon Joy Obetia at their home in Zambia Zone, Arua City
The Archbishop also visited Maama Canon Susan Wani, the widow of the late Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, The Most Rev Silvanus Wani.
Bishop Obetia, the former Bishop of Madi West Nile Diocese, retired from teaching at Uganda Christian University recently following a stroke that left the left side of his body paralysed.
The two families commended Archbishop Kaziimba Mugalu for his compassion and continued care for retired Church ministers, their spouses and the families of those who have gone to be with the Lord.
Maama Susan Wani particularly thanked the Archbishop for personally building her a self-contained house after an impromptu visit to her home three years ago.
The Archbishop action to build a new housw cane after he found her living in a dilapidated house and said that the Archbishop has consistently ensured that she both financial and spiritual support over the years.
The Archbishop was accompanied by Rt Rev Charles Collins Andaku, the Bishop of Madi West Nile Diocese.
