The Police in Kanungu District are currently investigating a fire outbreak that destroyed household properties worth millions of shillings at Green Tree Bar and Restaurant Butogota Central in Butogota Southern Ward of Butogota Town Council.
According Turyasingura Christopher, the Proprietor of Green Tree Bar, he closed the premises at around 3 am and went to rest and was later called yesterday morning at 10 am that the premises had burnt into fire flames.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Nelson Tumushime confirmed the incident and said that the Police and locals responded swiftly and contained the fire from spreading to other areas.
Tumushime told journalists today morning that preliminary investigations indicate that the fire could have been cause by a short circuit and investigations continue.
Turyasingura said that all his stock in the Bar, including furniture and other properties were all burnt.

The Police in Kabale District are currently investigating circumstances under which an unidentified body was recovered near River Muvumbe in Kigarama “C” , Nyanja Parish in Maziba Sub-county.

Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Nelson Tumushime has confirmed that, a well wisher informed the Police at Maziba Police Station of unidentified body which was lying lifeless at River Muvumbe.
Tumushime explained that the Police at Maziba alerted Kabale Central Police Station Homicide Team , which responded swiftly and conveyed the body of the deceased to Kabale Regional Referal Hospital for oostmortem examination to determine his death.
Maate said that the deceased is believed to be of a male adult , of about 30 years,but had no identification documents on him.
The Police have since appealed to the members of the general public who have a missing person or relative to report to nearest Police or to Kabale Regional Referal Hospital for identification purposes.
Tumushime said that investigations to identify the deceased and cause of death are still ongoing .
