IBANDA- It’s a sad Sunday afternoon October 20th 2024 in Mbarara Archdiocese following the tragic death of Rev. Fr. Wycliffe Byamugisha, the Curate Priest of Nyabuhikye Centre in Kagngo Parish, Ibanda District.
Sources intimated to this reporter that the man of God died in an accident that occurred this afternoon at Kabagoma cell in Igorora, along Ibanda Mbarara Highway.
Rev. Fr. Byamugisha, a youthful cleric hailed from Kashekuro Parish in Sheema District.
He was ordained a Priest in July 2018, and had spent close to six years in Priesthood.
By press time, neither the Police nor the Archdiocese had issued a statement regarding the priest’s death. We shall however keep you posted with details as they emerge.
