The Minister of State for Industry, Hon David Bahati noted that people with Sickle Cell disease deserve dignity and support, quoting Matthew 7:12.
Minister Bahati made the remarks today as he graced the DFCU Bank’s ‘Hope in Motion Walk’ to support people with Sickle Cell disease.
The Minister appealed to Ugandans, especially the young people, to check and know their status to make informed decision before marriage in order to prevent the disease.
Hon. Bahati commended the DFCU Bank for its continuous commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility particularly commend the noble gesture to complement the Government’s efforts to address sickle cell disease.
He also thanked everyone who turned up in big numbers to walk and donate blood to support people living with the disease.
