The Police in Rubanda District are hunting for unknown suspects in connection with the alleged murdered a 55 year old man identified as Dismus Niyonzima Sebuhinja a resident of Habuhinga village in Ikamiro Parish Muko Sub-county who was allegedly murdered last night at Kabaya Primary School.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate confirmed the incident saying that the deceased is reported to have sold his beans Ugx 220,000 and was last seen leaving the Trading Center at Centenary’s Bar with the wife towards midnight.
Maate explained thhat while on the way home, the wife moved faster as they had left children at home leaving the husband behind and she waited for the husband all in vain and she tried to move behind in an attempt to find out what could have happened to him but she didn’t find him.
Maate told journalists that it was today morning when one of the pupils at Kabaya Primary School came across the lifeless body of the deceased near the water tank lying in a pool of blood and he informed the Teacher who went and identified the body as that of Sebuhinja Dismus and he in turn informed the Police at Muko about the incident.
The scene was visited, processed and documented and relevant statements were recorded from the witnesses at the scene and an exhibit of a piece of a brick with blood stains with was recovered at the scene and postmortem examination was done and body handed over to the relatives as investigations continue.
