President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has said that it is gratifying that Uganda is celebrating Christmas when the whole country is peaceful and there is a lot of agricultural and industrial production.

This was contained in a Christmas statement issued and signed by President Museveni where him and Maama Janet KataahaMuseveni, congratulate all Ugandans as they celebrated the birth of Christ more than 2000 years ago. 

President Museveni noted that although, there is still poverty among the 30% still outside the money economy, shops and markeys are full of  commodities.

President Museveni noted that the way-out for Ugandans to get out of poverty is well laid out and the resources to support the process are available and up-scalable Parish Development Model, Emyooga, ghetto funds, bodaboda fund and others.

He made it categorically clear that there is still corruption by some of the executors because it is not reported and once corruption is reported, it is stamped out.

President Museveni said that the future is bright, and asked Ugandans to pray for peace in the whole of Africa and more economic and political integration in Africa to continue to solve the problem of markets for our products and services and strategic security.
