President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is in the United Republic of Tanzania on a working visit at the invitation of President Samia Suluhu Hassan. We
President Museveni with her counterpart held bilateral talks aimed at strengthening cooperation and deepening the long-standing relations between our two countries.
President Museveni later posted on social media that he held fruitful bilateral talks President Samia Suluhu and agreed to deepen Uganda–Tanzania cooperation in energy, trade, infrastructure and regional peace.

During the meeting that took place at State House in Dar es Salam the two leaders reviewed progress on key projects, including the East Africa Crude Oil Pipeline, which is on course, as well as plans for gas and refined oil pipelines that will strengthen our shared energy security and position Tanzania as a key export corridor for Uganda.
