President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has held a meeting with the Ethiopian Ambassador to Uganda Her Excellency Etsegenet Bezabih Yimenu who visited him at Entebbe State House.
Ambassador Etsegenet Bezabih Yimenu conveyed an invitation from Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed for the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam inauguration.
President Museveni and Ambassador Etsegenet Bezabih Yimenu discussed the importance of water preservation in mountainous regions and the environmental challenges that could affect river and lake levels.
On the conflicts between Eritrea and Ethiopia, President Museveni encouraged dialogue between the two countries and pledged to offer his support where necessary.
Meanwhile, the British High Commissioner to Uganda, Her Excellency Lisa Chesney has paid a courtesy call to President Museveni at Entebbe State House this evening.
The two held discussions that focused on strengthening economic and diplomatic ties and also reviewed regional security conflicts, particularly in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan.
