The Speaker of Parliament Anita Among has commended the Church for its vital role in fostering unity, peace, and love across the country.

She made the remarks today while attending the 25th Priestly Jubilee celebration of Rev Fr Edward Muwanga at St Charles Lwanga Parish, Ntinda, where hundreds of Christians gathered to honour his dedicated service, alongside fellow jubilarians Fr Joseph Kirumira and Fr Kizito Kiyimba.

Speaker Among applauded the Church’s continued efforts in bringing communities together and providing moral and spiritual guidance to Ugandans.

She also commended the Government, under the leadership of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, for upholding freedom of worship, which she said has helped unite Ugandans across different faiths and strengthened the country’s foundation of peace and tolerance.
