A 22 year-old security guard, Webisa Marvin, has been charged and remanded to Luzira Prison over the alleged rape, murder, and aggravated robbery of TikTok content creator Diana Namulinde, also known as Diana SkyZ.
Webisa, who was attached to Gibeon Security Systems, was in charge of security at an apartment complex in Kyanja Kwata Zone, Kampala.
Prosecution alleges that on February 4th, at Kyanja Kwata Zone, Webisa had carnal knowledge of Namulinde without her consent, unlawfully killed her, and later stole her belongings, including phones, shoes, clothes, and bags, all valued at more than 18 million shillings.
Namulinde’s body was recovered from her apartment. Police immediately arrested and questioned Webisa after the suspected stolen items were reportedly found in his possession.
Webisa was presented before Kampala City Hall Court Grade One Magistrate Nicholas Aisu for the formal reading of the charges.
The magistrate informed him that he could not take a plea on the capital offences, which are triable only by the High Court.
He has been remanded to Luzira Prison until March 3rd as police inquiries into the matter continue.
