Prime Minister Rt Hon Robinah Nabbanja takes a group picture with Leaders of Gulu University

NEWS- The Prime Minister of Uganda Rt Hon Nabbanja Robinah on Friday February 9, 2024 represented President Yoweri Museveni at the 19th graduation ceremony of Gulu University in Gulu City.

On arrival at the University, Rt Hon Nabbanja was received by the Education State Minister Dr Monica Kaduchu, Members of Parliament hailing from Northern Uganda and members of the University Council.

During the graduation ceremony, a total of 1,300 graduands were conferred Diplomas and Degrees to over in different disciplines which was led by the Gulu University Chancellor Rt Hon Dr Ruhakana Rugunda.

In a speech read for him, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni urged graduates to embrace the call for patriotism, be active participants in the fight against corruption and avoid the temptation of getting rich quickly and also encouraged them to utilize the available opportunities and use the skills acquired to cause transformation.

Gulu University was established by Act of the Parliament of 2006 and admitted its first students and commenced teaching activities in September 2002, as a public University aiming at producing citizens with skills, attitude and knowledge.
