NEWS– The First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports Hon Janet Museveni has hailed parents for their commitment and sacrifice in supporting their children with education and skilling saying that education is a lifetime investment that will help the children get a bright future.
Maama Janet Museveni’s remarks were contained in a speech read for her by Ntungamo District Woman Member of Parliament Hon Bata Kamateneti who represented her as the Guest of Honour at the graduation ceremony of Raptech Institute of Business and Technology in Ntungamo District.
Hon Kamateneti urged graduands to be disciplined in their families and places of work because discipline will lead them greater heights and thanked Director Ayijuka Rodgers for starting up Raptech and urged parents to use it for their betterment of tomorrow.
While speaking at the same function, Deputy Executive Secretary Examination Management- Uganda Business and Technical Examination Board (UBTEB) Dr Nahamya Karukuza Wilfred urged parents to educate their children in technical institute and urged them to take them in the children in registered and recognized institutions.
Dr Nahamya Karakuza assured the graduands that jobs for technical education and in skilling are available and urged the graduands to have values, attitudes and follow the right path in order to succeed.
The Executive Director Raptech Institute of Business and Technology Aijuka Rodgers appreciated Ministry of Education and Sports led by First lady Hon Janet Kataha Museveni for supporting Raptech Institute of Business and Technology and thanked her for the contribution to the development of the institution.
Aijuka also hailed parents for entrusting them with their children and assured them that they ready educate and skill their children and urged those who are still studying to keep focused for their great success.
The Principal Raptech Institute of Business and Technology Byaruhanga Nickness said that 145 have graduated with certificate and diploma and urged them to be creative and innovative and upgrade in their studies and be good ambassadors of Raptech Institute of Business and Technology.
A total of 145 students who included 113 girls and 32 boys graduated with Certificates and Diploma in Accountancy, Journalist and media studies, Secretarial and office management, Information and Communication Technology, technical courses in Building Construction, Electrical Installation Systems, Plumbing and Records and Office Management, Hotel and Institutional Catering, Graphics Design and all are examined by Uganda Business and Technical Examination Board.
