The Police in Kabale District are investigating mysterious death under which a 45 year old Arineitwe Elias alias Maziwa a resident of Kabaraga village in Kaharo Sub-county, whose body was found lying along the pathway connecting to the Kabale Mbarara highway.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate has confirmed the incident and revealed that the lifeless body of Arinaitwe was January 3rd 2025, found lying next to the sweet potato garden belonging to one Enock, along the pathway connecting to the main Kabale – Mbarara Highway, at Kabaraga village Kaharo Sub County in Kabale district
The dead body was first see by a lady only identified as Anita who then informed other locals who communicated the wife of the deceased Kemigisha Evalyne.
Maate explained that the matter was reported to Kaharo Police Station by the GISO Kaharo Sub County and subsequently Kabale Central Police Station for further investigations.
The scene was visited and documented by the Kabale Homicide Team including the dog Unit, which was introduced to the scene, but it couldn’t yield any positive results.
The body was conveyed to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination and efforts to get those involved in the murder are being made so that they are charged in courts of law accordingly.
