Museveni arrive at Nkokoma Play Grounds in Butambala District

The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has guided the people of Butambala district on vast economic enterprises options and sustainable land use for wealth creation at individual and household levels.

President Museveni made the remarks today December 29th 2025, while campaigning at a rally in Nkokoma Play Grounds in Butambala District where President Museveni challenged the people of Butambala district to scaleup wealth creation initiatives in their localities regardless of the extent of infrastructural development as government fasttracks the latter. 

Candidate Museveni guided the people of Butambala district on the immense job opportunities in the commercial agriculture and manufacturing sector as he promised to scaleup opportunities in that line.

President Museveni reaffirmed the NRM government’s stance on unity for peace and development as he asked the electorate to vote for the NRM government.

While speaking at the same event thee First Lady Maama Janet Kataha Museveni set 70% score for Butambala District anchored on the thriving service delivery in the district ushered in by the NRM government.

She also noted that the NRM government has fostered unity, peace and development in all aspects and it’s the duty of the electorate to protect such gains by re-electing President Museveni and all party flagbearers in the forthcoming general elections.

She cautioned the electorate of Butambala district against voting for opposition politicians who have for long frustrated development interventions to their area 

The NRM First National Vice Chairperson Alhaji Moses Kigongo has warned NRM leaders in Butambala district against divisive vices and conflicts affecting the party’s support while the NRM second National Vice Chairperson female Anita Among has lashed at opposition politicians particularly the Butambala county MP Muhammad Muwanga Kivumbi for double dealing with the NRM government but still frustrate development programs initiated by government.

The NRM Vice Chairperson for Buganda Sub region Haruna Kasoro has asked the electorate of Butambala district to end the arrogance and radicalism by opposition politicians who continue to frustrate development programs for Butambala District.
