NEWS- Aspiring Rukungiri Woman Member of Parliament Nabaasa Innocent Kashobera has contributed 10 window shutters towards renovation of Rutooma Integrated Primary School in Buhunga Sub-county.
Ms Nabaasa Kashobera personally delivered the windows shutters at function that was organised by the school management to raise funds for the rehabilitation of existing structures an event that started with Holy Mass.
She said that she was inspired to contribute the window shutters to create a conducive environment for learners especially during the rain season when the rain find its way into the classrooms.
She however told the congregation that she has introduced a skilling program for women and youth in soap making, bakery in hard to reach areas like Rwenshama, Bwambara and Nyakishenyi with an objective of job creation and bringing services closer to the people.
According to the Headteacher Rutooma Integrated Primary School, they needed Ugx 20 million for the pending renovation and a substantial amount was raised for the purpose.
The event was also attended by the Minister for Security Gen Jim Katugugu Muhwezi who thanked the Catholic Church for spearheading education in the country and contributed to the renovations and pledged more support.
