KAMPALA- Over Ugx 10 million was yesterday evening raised by the old girls of St Tereza Girl’s Culcutta Secondary School at a get together fundraising dinner at Kembambazi Restaurant in Naguru in Kampala with an aim of purchasing school computers.
The Guest of honor, Fr Lucas Kiiza the Nyamwegabira Parish Priest, was represented at the function by Kabale Municipality Member of Parliament Hon Kamara Nicholas who expressed deep gratitude to the school founders especially Hon Jacqueline Kyatuheire, who was present at the event.
Dr Kamara praised all stakeholders for their continued efforts in pushing forward the school’s mission and encouraged the Old girls to remain passionate about supporting the school and reminded them that, regardless of their small numbers, their unity and contributions can always make a meaningful impact and urged them to return to the school, identify young talents, and support the next generation of students who will carry forward the legacy of the institution.
The event was attended the NRM Deputy National Treasurer, Hon Jacqueline Kyatuheire, Sister Kebirungi Petronella, the current headmistress, Sister Petronella Kebirungi and Mugisha Emmanuel Masesane along with many others.
The spirit of commitment and solidarity displayed by the old girls will undoubtedly continue to uplift and support St Tereza Girl’s Culcutta Secondary School in the years to come and the event was filled with warmth and excitement as the school alumni showed their dedication and love for their alma mater.
