NEWS- Members of Buyanja SACCO have been urged to be trust and thank God, be consistent with saving, observe financial discipline if they are to be successful in their financial life.
This message was on Wednesday 3rd September 2025 delivered by Mr. Adams Bwisho a consultant at Lead Consultancy who was a guest speaker at the conclusion of a three-day financial training in the six zones in Rukungiri district organized by Buyanja Sacco held at All saints church in Rukungiri Municipality.
The three day training saw the people in the six zones of Buyanja, Rubanga, Bugangari, Omwirwaniro, Nyabitete, and Rukungiri Municipality equiped with knowledge about better ways of handling finances, saving, spending and maintaining their money.
Bwisho urged the public to always provide accurate information to loan officers when seeking loans from financial institutions stressing that this strengthens relationship and trust between them.
Adams Bwisho highlighted three key principles for financial success as trusting and thanking God, respecting and being disciplined with money not forgetting knowing how to get and maintain money.
According to Bwisho, money can be earned through four main ways of engaging in agriculture, trade, having and properly using skills, and talent.
He encouraged participants to maintain their money through saving, timely loan repayment, avoiding multiple borrowing, and building their own institutions.
Canon Yosiya Twirire, the Buyanja SACCO Board Chairperson revealed that such trainings are an important part of the SACCO principles noting that every member is entitled to education, training, and information as they stay informed about resolutions from the annual general meetings.
Oliver Nayebare, the General Manager Buyanja SACCO encouraged the public to join Buyanja SACCO stressing that it is the best financial institution that cares for, values its members and serves them modern better and quick services.
Nayebare highlighted new loan products offered by the Sacco which include WASH ( water, Sanitation and Hygiene), biogas, emergency, Bakyara Muzahura and bodaboda loans which now also include tricycle also known as Tutuku.
Buyanja SACCO with its headquarters in Buyanja town council also owns two branches in Karunoni and Rukungiri Municipality has proved to be one of the fastest growing financial institutions in the district and the country as a whole.
