Ugandans have been urged to express their commitment to personal hygiene and environmental cleanliness to the places of their jurisdiction.
According to the LCIII chairperson Kitwe Town council Peter Hategyeka Munyampeta, the public should take up sanitation and hygiene of their places of work rather than expressing Lamentations to the leaders.
He made remarks today during Nyakayojo Sacco Kitwe branch Customer Service Week 2025 that saw staff and members took up the cleaning tools and embarked on cleaning, and desilting drainage across the streets of Kitwe Town council Ntungamo district.
Hategyeka hailed Nyakayojo Sacco Kitwe branch manager Kyokusiima Bonus and community leaders for embracing general cleaning of the town which will be done on a monthly basis.

The town clerk Kitwe Town council Arinaitwe Benson Rwankangi commended Nyakayojo Sacco Kitwe branch for complementing government efforts advocating for a clean environment.
Rwankangi noted that cleaning the environment helps to get rid of 75% preventable related diseases in the community.

The Nyakayojo Sacco Kitwe branch manager Kyokusiima Bonus revealed that they are promoting Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) through community engagement and general cleaning of the Town to have a safe environment.
Kyokusiima noted Nyakayojo Sacco is one of best Saccos in the country with seven branches aimed at harnessing financial inclusion and Tweyambe scheme for uncertainties.
She thanked Kitwe Town council leadership, Sacco members and staff for cooperation requesting them to come and open a bank account in Nyakayojo Sacco.

Kyokusiima stressed that Customer Service Week (CSW) is celebrated annually worldwide during the first full week in October which this year falls between October 7 and 11.
