The Police in Kisoro District have registered a fatal accident that involved motorcycle registration number UFT 850D that took place at Nyamagoma village along Kisoro Bunagana highway and claimed the life of Ntakirutimana a resident of Kitagoma in Busanza in Democratic Republic of Congo.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate told journalists that it is alleged that an unknown motorcycle knocked down the victim as he was trying to cross the road and went unidentified, as the deceased was trying to stand and move away, another motorcycle registration number UFT 850D Bajaj Boxer red also rammed into the same pedestrian killing him on the spot.
Maate explained that the scene was visited by Kisoro District Traffic Officed Ainomugisha Musa assisted by Sgt Mbabazi James and team and the body of the deceased was retrieved and delivered at Kisoro General Hospital for postmortem examination.
The Police took statements from eye witnesses and the motorcycle involved is currently parked at Kisoro Central Police Station pending IOV inspection as investigations continue.
