NEWS– The Kinkizi Diocesan staff on Wednesday January 3rd 2023 started a retreat at Holly Cross Guest House -Nyakatare as the Diocese officially opens office for this precious year 2024.

While speaking at the event, the  Bishop of the Diocese of Kinkiizi, Rt Rev Dan Zoreka encouraged the Diocesan workers to use their opportunity to serve wholeheartedly wherever they have been assigned. 

While welcoming the staff from the long Chrismas and New Years holiday, Bishop Zoreka encouraged the staff to renew their perspectives for hard work because this is a new year which has a blank page before them to write a good story

During the devotion, Ven Can Benard Byamugisha, the archdeacon for Kayonza expounded on the theme, “Conforming to the truth of God’s word, not the parterns of the world as drawn from Romans 12:1-2, saying this it’s a timely message for every christian.

Ven Rev Byamugisha said that the Christian’s character and behavior should reflect the goodness of God and called upon the Diocesan Staff at the secretariat and other  Diocesan Projects such as Batwa Development Program and Kihiihi Nyanga Community Development Project, and the Compassion aided Child Development Projects of Kajugangoma, Butogota, Rushaka, Kambuga, Kayungwe and Rutenga to live to their calling.

Present at the event was the Diocesan Head of Laity, Canon Ben Kurigamba who encouraged them to maintain the positive image of the church in whatever they are doing, while the Diocesan Secretary Rev Gad Tibeijuka Ngyemura called upon for unity among the staff so as to achieve more as a team as well as to keep focused to the goals of the Diocese of Kinkiizi.
