The Court therefore stayed the disposal of land in question located in Kebisoni Town Council in Rukungiri District, which  formerly formed part of Block 20, Plot 37 and is currently described as Plot 450 and 452 until the Case miscellaneous application number 008 of 2024 is disposed off.

The order was given yesterday September 5th 2024, in the presence of Messers Kwemara Kafuuzi of Rwakafuzi & Company Advocates the Counsel for the applicant in the case of Ms Lelai James Norman vs Kagwa Abdu.

The family of the late Ibrahim Rwatsika has been engaged in a protracted battle to reclaim their estate, spanning 14 acres in Kebisoni Town Council part of which they have already secured.

Through this ordeal, the family has learned a valuable lesson and importance of securing land titles and urges the general public to ensure they get land titles for their pieces of land and ensure that land is properly documented and titled, lest selfish individuals exploit the lack of formal ownership and steal such property.

According to Emmanuel Twinamatsiko who has been on frontline on behalf of the Rwatsika family to recover their property, the struggle serves as a cautionary tale where everyone need to secure titles for their land to prevent selfish individuals from stealing their property.

Here below is the Court Order in verbatim.
