RUBIRIZI – Atleast 5 people survived death narrowly in motor accident along Ishaka – Kasese highway.
The accident happened on Tuesday 12th December 2023 around 9am in Rubirizi cell, Kasharara ward, Rubirizi Town Council in Rubirizi district.
According to eyewitnesses, the accident involved a Toyota Corolla Fielder UBP 052E and a red Bajaj Boxer registration number UFX 788K.
Eye witnesses told our reporter that both the motorcycle and motorvehicle were heading to Kasese from the same direction and the crash happened as the Corolla fielder tried to overtake the motorcycle.
The motorvehicle had 4 occupants including the driver Bwambare Deo. All passengers Kiralo Alfred, Bwambare Moses, Tumuhairwe Doreen and all survived with minor injuries.
The motorcycle rider known as Jimmy Criscent survived with serious injuries and was rushed to Rugazi Health Centre IV, subsquently to Kirembe hospital for treatment.
By the time we published this story, Police led by O/C traffic Rubirizi district ASP Tumwebaze Richatd had already visited the scene and both the motorcycle and motorvehicle taken to Rubirizi police for IOV inspection.
