DP’s Mao elected Secretary General of African Political Parties Body

NEWS- The ministry of Justice and constitution affairs has finalized the compiling of all electoral reforms and handed them to the Uganda Law Reform Commission (ULRC) for review before presenting them to parliament for consideration.

This has been disclosed by the line minister, also the president of Democratic Party (DP) Norbert Moa while addressing journalists at Balintuma Rd, the DP political command offices.

Mao said they have compiled all amendments from Supreme Court, Citizens Compact, Parliament and diaspora which are going to be reviewed by ULRC soon as the country prepares to go for 2026 polls.

Among the reforms compiled include; implementation of electronic voting, presidential, parliamentary and Local government elections to be carried out on one day to avoid much expenses and multi practices among others.

He asked Ugandans to support these reforms for free and Fair elections in the country.
