Stephen Rubaale and his wife Lydia at Nyakibobo COU Itojo

NTUNGAMO- Christians have been urged to galvanize their connection with God through salivation and thanksgiving for His endless grace and gift of life. 

This was said on Tuesday, December 26 by the Retired Archdeacon of Kabingo Ven Rev Canon Kamuhanda George during Boxing Day and the thanksgiving of Elder Stephen Lydia Rubaale and family held at St Mathews Parish COU Nyakibobo Itojo Archdeaconry Ntungamo district.

Rev Canon Kamuhanda said that believers should not forget that God has brought them grass to Grace and thanking Him is righteousness. 

He thanked Elder Stephen Rubaale and his wife Lydia for remembering to thank God requesting all parishioners to emulate them.

Rev Canon Kamuhanda also advised children to always follow the good footsteps of their parents and stick to their parents’ religion where they were baptized and confirmed. He was assisted by Ankwatse Mable Mwebesa, the lay reader.

The Elder Stephen and his Lydia Rubaale revealed that they thank God for surviving a car accident he got a few years back along Ntungamo-Mbarara highway. 

Elder Rubaale thanked people who supported him spiritually, financially and physically while he was admitted in different Hospitals. He noted that the money raised from thanksgiving will be used to make the floor of the St Matthews Nyakibobo Cou with terrazzo.

The Chairperson Ntungamo district women council Musiime Peace expressed happiness for Elder Rubaale Stephen for holding thanksgiving.

Other speakers were Ntungamo sub county councilor Mpiriirwe Naboth , Sister Katusiime Hope assistant DHO Ibanda District and Eng Pius Mpeta from UNRA .

At least eight children were baptized.
