NTUNGAMO- Students and pupils have been cautioned to avoid selling their birthrights (obukuru) such as integrity, conscience and body at the expense of World treasures.
This was said Saturday by Pastor Isaac Turyamureeba of Kikoni SDA Church while dedicating 40 P7 candidates of Kikoni SDA Primary School Ntungamo Municipality.
Pastor Turyamureeba said when someone sells their integrity and bodies because of money and other World treasures will live with regrets forever like Esau in the Bible who sold birthright to Jacob.
He therefore asked them to be patient and study hard in order to be blessed and conquer the World like Jacob. Pastor Turyamureeba was assisted by Pastor Patrick Mukiga who asked them to be firm in Jesus Christ.
Councilor Kyotungire Annet Kanyamunyu who represented the mayor Ntungamo Municipality Jacob Kafureeka reminded the candidates to seek God’s guidance and entrust Him to be successful.
Kanyamunyu also advised them to shun visitations after their examination but rather cooperate with parents as they prepare for joining secondary School.
Councilor Kanyamunyu thanked the staff led by the head teacher Ntereire Geoffrey for uplifting the academic standards of the school year after year.
Asaph Kahigana the chairman School management Kikoni SDA Primary School assured them that it is not too late to make it.
Kahigana pledged to support them during examinations in terms of lunch and he gave candidates a number of success items as they prepare for their final examinations next week.
Chairman PTA Mugizi Nicholas Kanaahe thanked the foundation body for dedicating the candidates and always rendering support whenever they are called upon.
The head teacher Kikoni SDA Primary Ntereire Geoffrey thanked parents for entrusting the school with children and affirmed that the candidates will excel with flying colors because teachers have done their part.
Ntereire noted that last year the school performed well with 15 candidates in first grade and others in second grade.
Primary seven candidates will sit for PLE on 8th and 9th this month across the country.
