KAMPALA– The National Resistance Movement Parliamentary Caucus invited for a special meeting scheduled to take place on Monday, May 19th 2025 at State House, Entebbe.
According to a notice issued today by the Government Chief Whip, Hon Denis Hamson Obua, the meeting expected to bring together all Members of Parliament under the ruling party.
The meeting will be chaired by the NRM National Chairperson President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and while the agenda has not yet been made public, the Government Chief Whip emphasized that the attendance is mandatory and members are required to attend in person.
The meeting comes at a time when Parliament is debating the Uganda People’s Defence Forces Amendment Bill 2025 where the President has vested interest in order to ensure that civilians who commit crime in line with military are tried in Military Courts.
