NEWS– The National Resistance Movement NRM sponsored candidate has overwhelmingly won the elections for the Guild President of Team University Kampala.
Announcing the results on Thursday, the electoral commission chairperson, Ezra Mugabe said the elections were free and fair and all candidate agents signed declaration forms which indicates that it was free and fair.
John Sande Gaadi the NRM sponsored candidate won with 1,204 votes against his closest rival and independent Candidate Goldmare Keigoshora who polled 457 votes.
John Sande Gaadi after being announced as the winner saiď that he will always remain in contact with rest of the students to get their views and take them to the administration
“I will be a servant leader who will not sit in the officer but will always be with students as before to know what hurts them and get a solution for their problems,” he said.
John Sande Gaadi a second year student of bachelor of Public administration and management said speaking the truth and being down to every one was secrete to his success.
Other cabinet members include Iihan Salad,Vice president, Eliot Nagaba Speaker, Yemen Muhumuza,Prime Minister, Grace Baguma, Information Minister, Ezra Mugabe, Internal affairs Minister, Susan Mukama, Education and sports Minister, Prossy Atenyi, religious Minister and Nunu Marlina, Minister of Culture and social affairs.
The swearing in ceremony is scheduled on wednesday 29th May 2024 at University gardens.
