The Nyakinoni Secondary School also known as the Chinese Campus new Board of Governors was today sworn in after it was approved by the Ministry of Education and Sports to start carrying out its duties.
The Minister of State for Higher Education Hon John Chrysestom Muyingo wrote to the Headteacher Nyakinoni Secondary School Dan Byabasheija, approving the appointment of the Board Members headed by Kanungu former District Education Officer Sunday Charles who is the representative of the Foundation Body.
Others on the Board include Bakiga Goddie Willy, Canon Fabith Katureebe, Emmanuel Nzeirwenawe and Edmund Turyatunga all from the Foundation Body which is the Diocese of Kinkizi.

The Boardalso include, Rev Tumuranzye Festo and Tumuramye Alisha who represent the Parents, Kwarikunda Peninah who represents the Local Government, Ms Twikirize Christine who represents the LC 3, Turyatemba Precious and Nahurira Joweria who represent the teaching staff and Furah Maleuth whorepresebtd the Old Students.
According to the Ministry of Education and Sports guidelines, the new Board will serve for the next 3 years and their mandate will end in 2028.
While receiving the reins of office, Sunday Charles who replaced Peter Mugisha Izara thanked the Foundation Body for proposing his name to be approved as the Chairman Board of Governors and pledged commitment to serve to the best of his ability and called on all approved members to ensure that they deliver what is expected of them.
The swearing in ceremony was presided over by Kanungu Grade 1 Magistrate His Worship Mugisa Patrick and it was attended by the District Education Officer Shaban Adam and the Diocese of Kinkizi Education Coordinator Rev Can Stella Arinaitwe among many others.
